As part of nationally accredited online training in Australia, the final step of your course includes a verbal assessment conducted by an accredited assessor. This competency-based phone conversation is arranged at a convenient time and is required to confirm you meet the necessary training standards before a Statement of Attainment can be issued.

 


A QLD Motor Dealer Licence enables the holder to work as an independent operator, a contractor or be in charge of a place of business. You can: Sell new or used motor vehicles (including parts) Obtain a used motor vehicle to sell (including parts) Sell a new or used motor vehicle of consignment Sell a leased motor vehicle to a lessee Negotiate on a person’s behalf to buy or sell a new or used motor vehicle Attend auctions and purchase vehicles Employ licenced sales staff
Upon successful completion of the required upgrade learning modules (4 in total), an electronic statement of attainment will be issued to you with an original copy sent by registered mail. 1. Take this certificate (electronic copy is fine) and attach it with your previously attained Statement of Attainment for Qld Salesperson Licensing, to an application form (you can register as an individual or corporation). Click here for Qld Motor Dealer Licence Application 2. Submit both the application form, the statement of attainments and a valid police clearance to Queensland Fair Trading in post or in person. 3. Once all paperwork has been submitted and approved, Fair Trading will issue your licence, pending you meeting all requirements. The course fee is a one-off payment but you will need to pay a yearly registration fee with QLD Fair Trading to maintain your licence. Current fees: For an individual motor dealer licence: $1,653.50 for 1 year $3,100.50 for 3 years For a corporate motor dealer licence: $941.20 for 1 year $1,697.50 for 3 years Criminal history check fee: $47.10 Please note: Fusion Business College is a training provider only and is not involved in the licence registration process. The upgrade course consists of 4 online modules (to compliment your already obtaines Qld Sales Licence) and is a delivered in an online self-paced learning environment. To complete the modules, students must progress through the course content and answer a set of short-answer and multiple-choice questions. There is no limit on how many times you can submit and edit your answers – simply work through until you’re satisfied. Average duration – 8 to 15 hours study (including reading time) should be expected, dependant on your previous work experience, ability to absorb new information and any prior industry knowledge.
Prior to commencement of your course, you will be required to complete both a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test and an Additional Support Survey.
